Sto-Rox Produce to People Moving!

As you may already know, the Sto-Rox P to P has lost use of the McKees Rocks VFW hall effective August 1st.

On the first Thursday of each month (5:30-7:30pm), Produce to People Sto-Rox distributes on average 15,000 lbs of fresh produce and other grocery items to over 300 households in need.

Thanks to the concerted efforts of a lot of concerned individuals (notably Maribeth Taylor and Craig Rippole), we have an outdoor home for the distribution for the months of August and September.  We will continue to work with community leaders and all interested parties to establish a permanent home for the distribution.

Our temporary home for the months of August and Sept will be the rear parking lot of:

F.O.R. Community Center

701 Chartiers Ave

Clients will enter the rear lot from Thompson Ave.

Additional parking will be available outside the F.O.R. Family health Center across Thompson.

Parking may be a little sparse, but not much worse than the situation at the VFW. 

Over the next week, we will be discussing the best options for volunteer parking during this transition (with an aim toward maximizing parking for our clients)
